Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead is the perfect place to learn, grow, and have fun.

Visit more than 250 animals and birds, learn about growing flowers and vegetables, experience a Kanza Indian encampment or a one-room school house, and take a stroll through main street to the fishing pond.

Closed for the Season

The Farmstead is closed for the 2019 season. Opening Day is April 1, 2020.

The Farmstead will be open noon-5 p.m. on Easter, April 12, 2020.

Friends of the Farmstead

Friends of the Farmstead is a membership group operating as part of The Arts & Recreation Foundation of Overland Park. The Friends support the Farmstead with annual membership opportunities, a donor program, special events throughout the season, and educational and volunteer programs.

Membership

Friends of the Farmstead memberships provide free admission for one year.

  • Individual memberships:
    • $15 for Overland Park residents
    • $22.50 for non-residents
  • Family memberships:
    • $35 for Overland Park residents
    • $50 for non-residents

Patron memberships are $100 and offer the same benefits of a family membership. Please see the family definition for membership purposes.

Purchase Friends of the Farmstead memberships in-person at Matt Ross Community Center, 8101 Marty St., or Tomahawk Ridge Community Center, 11902 Lowell Ave., or at Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead when it is open.
