Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead is the perfect place to learn, grow, and have fun.
Visit more than 250 animals and birds, learn about growing flowers and vegetables, experience a Kanza Indian encampment or a one-room schoolhouse, and take a stroll through Main Street to the fishing pond.
Skip the line and purchase your tickets before you arrive at the Farmstead. If your plans change, tickets are valid through the end of the season, on October 31.
The 2024 Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead admission fee is $5 per person for those ages three and older. Children two and under are free.
Pumpkin Hollow is open daily October 1-31! Take a scenic horse-drawn hayride to Pumpkin Hollow where you can play old-fashioned games, slide down a giant hay slide, climb with the goats, conquer the spider maze, choose your very own pumpkin to take home and much more.
Pumpkin Hollow tickets are $10 per person. Purchase online in advance or in-person on the day of your visit. Farmstead admission is also required.

Your kid, feeding our kids! Pick up a bottle of milk and see what it’s like to raise a baby goat.
Baby goat bottles are $1 each. A limited number of bottles are available each day and are sold only at the Fishing Shack.
Cast your old-fashioned cane pole into Fishing Pond and pull out a fish nearly every single time.
There is a $3 fee to fish, which includes a cane pole and four worms. No outside poles or bait are allowed.
Stop by one of several playgrounds, with activities for all ages, nestled throughout the Farmstead.
Stop in to the dairy barn to learn about the farm-to-table process and how your favorite dairy treat is made.
Kansas farms have hundreds of domestic and wild animals. So does the Farmstead.
No matter what season you visit, you’ll find beautiful gardens and water features throughout the Farmstead.
Friends of the Farmstead is a membership group operating as part of The Arts & Recreation Foundation of Overland Park. The Friends support the Farmstead with annual membership opportunities, a donor program, special events throughout the season, and educational and volunteer programs.
Friends of the Farmstead members enjoy perks including free admission, discounts on special events, and more.
Please check weather conditions prior to your visit. Guests may be asked to evacuate the Farmstead if there is lightning or severe weather in the area.
When and if the Farmstead reopens will be determined on a case by case scenario depending on time of day, weather forecast, and whether the venue is deemed safe. There are no refunds offered due to inclement weather.
Some animals may not be on exhibit for their health and safety.
