Farmstead Volunteers

Volunteers are an integral part of operations at Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead. As an ever-growing attraction, attendance increases each year. It is thanks to volunteers that the Farmstead runs smoothly and effectively.

Every day, Farmstead volunteers:

  • Greet visitors entering the Farmstead,
  • Assist with wagon rides,
  • Help kids fish at Grandpa Bob’s Fishing Pond,
  • Help children feed bottles to the baby goats,
  • Assist with gemstone mining,
  • Garden,
  • Help with special events,
  • Assist with birthday parties, and
  • Share historical information.

Volunteer Shifts

Volunteer shifts vary in length but are generally offered as morning or afternoon shifts. Most volunteer shifts are weekly commitments. After-school volunteer shifts are available upon request.

The majority of the volunteer opportunities are when the Farmstead is open to the public, but there are some opportunities available in the offseason as well.
