Volunteers are an integral part of operations at Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead. As an ever expanding attraction, attendance increases each year. It is thanks to volunteers that the Farmstead runs smoothly and effectively.
Every day, Farmstead volunteers:
Volunteer shifts are four hours long and last from either 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or
1 p.m. to 5 p.m. After-school shifts are available upon request.
Individual volunteers should complete the volunteer application.
Organized groups, such as corporations and church groups, should contact the volunteer coordinator at 913-827-7570 to discuss volunteering availability.
All volunteers must be 14 years or older. As a condition to service at Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead, the City requires a criminal background and record check.
Volunteer opportunities are not automatic. If you are selected as a volunteer, you will be contacted by the Volunteer Coordinator as positions become available.
