Incident Area: 106th Terrace and Antioch Road
On May 9, 1977, David Dvorsak (30) was found deceased from a gunshot wound in his vehicle, a 1971 Dodge Dart, in an apartment complex at 106th Terrace and Antioch Road. The vehicle had been parked for two to three months prior to officers being called to check on it, and the discovery of David. David was a Kansas City, Kansas, resident. David had been reported as a missing person a few months prior to his discovery.

Incident Area: Southbound U.S. 69 and 119th Street
On December 16, 1986, Antonio Harris (39) was located on the shoulder of southbound U.S. 69 and 119th Street. Antonio had been in a physical altercation and was ultimately killed by multiple forms of violence. Antonio was found several feet from his vehicle, a white Toyota pick-up truck without a tailgate, on 119th Street. He was a wrestling coach and owned a paper company.

Incident Area: 61st Terrace and Robinson Street
On July 6, 2015, Quaushey Harris was shot in her home at 61st and Robinson after an unknown subject armed with a rifle shot multiple rounds into her home before fleeing the scene in a gray/silver/blue Pontiac sedan. Quaushey and a juvenile female were struck by gunfire. Quaushey succumbed to her injuries, but the juvenile female survived. Several days before this shooting, a neighboring residence was also shot at, resulting in two solved homicides. These incidents may be related.

Incident Area: 95th Street and Mission Road
On December 25, 1984, Atley Lewis (50) was found deceased in his bed from an apparent strangulation. His home appeared to have been burglarized, with several electronics, Christmas gifts, personal checks and credit cards taken. Those cards were subsequently used in Kansas City, Missouri, at both a K-Mart and a Disc Records store. Atley lived near 95th Street and Mission Road and co-owned Salon 103, located near W. 103rd Street and Metcalf Avenue. He was active in the bar scene and reportedly spent time in the Liberty Memorial area. He was last seen around 8 p.m. on December 24, leaving his parents’ residence in Independence, Missouri.

On January 19, 1976, Lester Martin (31) was found deceased in his residence in the area of 69th Street and Metcalf Avenue. Lester was found by a co-worker when he failed to show up for work. He was lying in bed with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Lester was last seen alive around 4 a.m. on Sunday, January 18, 1976. A witness reported that Lester was previously involved in an armed disturbance with an unknown subject. During that altercation, Lester’s arm was slashed with a knife. It was also reported that Lester was going through a divorce.

Incident Area: 87th Street and Lowell Avenue
On July 2, 1977, Anthony “Tony” Payne (19) was found critically injured in the basement of an Overland Park home in the area of 87th Street and Lowell Avenue. Police believe he was violently attacked sometime between 2 a.m. and 3:45 a.m. that morning. Tony was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries a few hours later. During interviews, several people informed investigators that two men were seen leaving the residence on foot, heading north and possibly entering a green Jeep or a similar style SUV.

Incident Area: 94th Terrace and Lamar Avenue
On July 14, 2013, Overland Park police responded to a report of shots fired in the 6300 block of W. 94th Terrace. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the victim, Raymon Thomas (30) with several gunshot wounds. Raymon was the father of three children. According to witnesses, a newer model red or maroon Ford Taurus with Missouri license plates arrived in front of the victim’s house. The victim was in the process of retrieving items from his vehicle, which was parked in the driveway of the residence. An occupant from the Ford Taurus exited and began firing a gun at the victim, striking him multiple times. The suspect’s vehicle was last seen heading west on 94th Terrace toward Metcalf Avenue. Police are searching for two suspects described as heavy-set black males. The shooter was described as having very short hair or a shaved head and was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

Incident Area: Merriam Drive and Antioch Road
On August 14, 1973, at 11 p.m., Dana Whisler (20) was found shot to death in her vehicle at the intersection of Merriam Drive and Antioch Road in Overland Park. Dana was lying inside her gold 1971 Chevy Camaro, which had rolled into a ditch. Witnesses observed an unknown vehicle pull alongside Dana’s vehicle when they heard a gunshot. Both vehicles were facing northbound. Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as having square taillights, with “fins that came out horizontally.” It was also reported that the vehicle looked like a station wagon.
