In its commitment to reducing traffic crashes, the City of Overland Park is developing the Overland Park Safe Streets Plan. Funded by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets and Roads for All program, the Safe Streets Plan will identify where crashes happen, prioritize safety improvements and make streets safer for everyone who walks, bikes, rolls, rides or drives in Overland Park.

A draft Safe Streets Plan is anticipated in early 2027. The plan is funded through the Federal Highway Administration’s Safe Streets and Roads for All grant program.
