Police Department Cadet Program

The Overland Park Police Department Cadet Program is designed to immerse individuals ages 18-20 in a hands-on, law enforcement training environment. Each Cadet is assigned to the Training Unit for work assignments, training opportunities and educational check-ins and rotated throughout the police department for various field and office assignments.

Cadets are required to enroll as a full-time student at Johnson County Community College. Costs associated with the program are covered as a part of employment.
