City of Overland Park snow crews are on duty beginning Tuesday evening to begin treating streets and plowing incoming snow.

Travel, including morning commutes, could be hazardous on Wednesday across Overland Park and all of northeast Kansas.

Tennis Courts

Tennis courts are open during park hours on a first-come, first serve basis. There is no fee to use them for open play.

Reservations

Indian Creek Recreation Center and Switzer Park courts can be reserved for $8 per hour per court. There is a $10 permit fee.

Youth organizations deemed eligible for season long reservations can reserve the courts at a rate of $5 per hour.

Construction Notice:

Starting February 3, 2025, the Switzer Park pickleball courts will be removed and rebuilt with new surfacing and fencing to improve safety and play experience. This project will take about 75 days. The courts will be closed during that time. While construction is underway, you can play pickleball at these Overland Park locations: Antioch Acres Park, Maple Hills Park and Young’s Park.


Switzer Park is a 16-acre park with plenty of recreation opportunities, including lighted tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts, and a skate park, plus access to Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead, Scheels Overland Park Soccer Complex, St. Andrews Golf Club, and the bike/hike trails.
