Residents who want to help plan the future of Overland Park can watch a new session in a speaker series, focused on how different types of transportation may affect the community’s future.
The Planning and Development Services Department arranged several speakers to spark thinking about high-interest community topics. Each video features an expert on planning topics and encourages viewers to provide feedback on the video’s topic through an online engagement tool.
October’s session, “The Future of Transportation and Mobility”, is presented by Jason Schrieber, Senior Principal Transportation Planner for Stantec, a planning firm based in Boston, Massachusetts.

Residents who participate will be better equipped to participate in the City’s 2022 Comprehensive Plan update, which the City will use to evaluate land use, capital planning and budgeting decisions.
