Lime scooters and bikes rolling into Overland Park

Watt’s all that buzz?

A fleet of Lime all-electric scooters, seated scooters and bikes are rolling into Overland Park, offering a convenient and eco-friendly way to navigate your neighborhood.

The Overland Park City Council approved a partnership with Lime at the April 1 City Council meeting, offering residents a fun and environmentally-friendly way to commute to work, explore local attractions or simply cruise around town.

Those 18 years and older may access Lime scooters and bikes using the Lime mobile app. Lime scooters and bikes will only work in Overland Park and adjoining cities where Lime operates. Geo locations enable the City to restrict access to areas like public soccer complexes and golf courses, the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens, Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead, the Farmers’ Market and closed sections of the trails.

You may ride e-bikes and scooters on city streets, sidewalks and trails as outlined in the City’s Municipal Code. When you’re finished riding, do not park your scooter or bike in loading zones or handicapped-accessible parking zones, curb ramps, driveways, private property, in the middle of sidewalks or in front of benches or public structures.
