Overland Park Mayor Carl Gerlach is calling for a special meeting of the City Council Committee of the Whole at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 7 at City Hall to discuss a proposed non-discrimination ordinance.

Mayor Gerlach is bringing forward a proposal following a Sept. 4, 2019 meeting of the City Council’s Community Development Committee, where more than 50 people spoke about a non-discrimination ordinance.

Mayor Gerlach is asking Council members to consider the non-discrimination ordinance and recommend formal approval of the ordinance at the regularly-scheduled 7:30 p.m. meeting of the City Council following the Committee of the Whole meeting.
