Zoning

Planning and Development Services staff can verify the zoning assigned to a property or parcel.

All information used for zoning verification purposes is obtained from public records.

Official Verification Letters

To receive an official letter stating the zoning of a property, submit a request via ePLACE. There is a $10 fee and processing typically takes about two weeks.

Zoning Information

Residents, business owners, and developers can verify zoning for a particular property using the zoning map, which is updated regularly.

Site conditions cannot be verified for ordinance compliance unless an as-built survey is submitted. The City of Overland Park assumes no liability for errors or omissions associated with a zoning verification as zoning information is subject to change.
