Entering the Arboretum

Our East Kiosk and the main entrance at LongHouse Visitor Center offer ample accessible parking, including van-accessible spaces. A circular drive is also available for drop-offs just steps from the LongHouse Visitor Center doors.

Mobility

We offer non-motorized push wheelchairs free of charge, available on a first-come, first-served basis at our garden entrances. Motorized wheelchairs and other mobility devices are also welcome.

Most of our gardens and walkways are paved, with benches along them for resting and admiring the gardens’ beauty. Our woodland trails and prairie paths are more rustic, featuring mulched paths, gravel and rock/dirt trails. Use the map below to plan your visit.

Guided cart tours of the Arboretum are available for $10 per person, in addition to admission. Please book your tour at least two weeks in advance. Tours run Monday through Friday and can accommodate up to 12 guests. They are not offered on free admission days. All tours start and end at the admission kiosk at the East Entrance and typically last 60 to 90 minutes.

Quiet Space

Many of our gardens offer peaceful spots to reflect, though some areas can be busier. For a private, quiet space, visit the room on the main gallery floor of the LongHouse Visitor Center near the café. It features comfortable seating, adjustable lighting, books, toys and a sound machine.
