Fire Safety Presentations

Overland Park Fire Department welcomes the opportunity to share fire safety with residents, visitors, businesses, and organizations in the city. Staff will present to:

  • Homes association meetings
  • Business meetings and events
  • Church events
  • Retirement homes
  • Fourth grade fire safety program
  • Men’s and women’s groups
  • Lunch-and-learn events

Presentation Topics

Fire Department staff members are available to present on a variety of topics, including but not limited to:

  • General fire safety
  • Home fire safety
  • Workplace fire safety
  • Smoke alarms
  • Fire escape plans and fire drills

Fire department staff will speak with students in classrooms and at school-wide events and career fairs. Lesson are geared toward specific age levels.

During visits, fire department staff discuss fire safety, firefighting, emergency medicine, engineering, arson investigation, training and much more.

Safety Days and Fairs

Our department receives many requests to attend safety days and fairs and considers each event individually. We prioritize events that focus on safety, are well-advertised, and have a growth-minded audience.

Submit requests for safety days at least 60 days before your event.
