Rental Information

Your team should have the perfect playing field.

Twelve full size or half fields are available from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week.

Fields can be reserved all day or hourly, and can be configured to accommodate any practice, game, or tournament. All field equipment is provided with reservations.

Tournaments, camps, clinics and practices can be booked 18 months in advance.

Lights at the soccer complex are turned on at 7:30 p.m. from April to September, and at 5 p.m. from October to March.

Reservations

Field Reservations

Reservations for practices will be taken on a seasonal basis until space is filled:

  • Fall season (August-November): taken preceding March 1
  • Winter season (November-March) : taken preceding Sept. 1
  • Spring season (March-May): taken preceding Nov. 1

Reservations are not final until the rental application is complete and fees are paid in full.

Tournament Reservations

Book tournament reservations 18 months in advance by completing the tournament use application or call 913-890-1694.

Conflicting date requests will be resolved using the following criteria:

  1. Number of anticipated out-of-town teams (based on history)
  2. Length of tournament and number of fields required
  3. Number of anticipated teams

If there are no conflicts, organizers must submit the field use/rental application with a security deposit before a reservation is considered complete.

Reasonable effort will be made to avoid conflict with Blue Valley Soccer Club and Heartland Soccer Association league games.

Security deposits are 10 percent of the tournament fee. The non-refundable deposit is applied to outstanding balance, which must be paid 14 days before the event.

Tournament hosts must meet with Visit Overland Park to secure hotel rooms and will be asked to ensure all teams stay at those locations.

League Games

Reservations will be taken on a seasonal basis.

League reservations for the fall season (August-November) will be taken before March 1. Reservations for the spring season (March-May) will be taken before November 1.

Camps + Clinics

Field rental reservations can be booked up to 18 months before the event.

Blue Valley Soccer Club + Overland Park Soccer Club

Blue Valley Soccer Club retains first priority and will have access to a minimum of nine fields for practice Monday through Thursday.

The Overland Park Soccer Club retains first priority and will have access to a minimum of one field for practice Monday through Thursday.

Each club can reserve time on remaining two fields, starting on Mondays at established rate availability, if not filled.

Other Heartland Soccer Association clubs and non-HSA clubs, high school, and college teams must complete rental agreement and payment with application to confirm reservation.

Rules + Regulations

In order for the Scheels Overland Park Soccer Complex to provide players and coaches with a world-class playing experience, teams must understand and comply with the following when renting space at the complex.

Rental Rules

  • Field permits for rentals will not be issued until
    • The rental agreement application is complete.
    • Payment is received.
  • Proof of insurance listing the City of Overland Park, Kansas as additionally insured is submitted.
  • League representatives are responsible for specific scheduling based on the number of reserved practice or game time slots listed on the facility use permit.
  • The soccer complex operations manager reserves the right to fill all open field time slots.
  • Subletting of rental spaces is prohibited.
  • Hourly rental includes access to entire field.
  • Fields can be divided for 3v3, 4v4, 6v6 or 8v8 use (half or thirds) and applicable hourly rates will apply.
  • League representatives must submit a practice schedule (to include team name, level, etc) to the soccer complex operations manager at the start of every month.

Player + Team Rules

  • Each organization, team and player is expected to have reasonable knowledge of the game of soccer before renting a field at the Scheels Overland Park Soccer Complex.
  • Each player is responsible to play the game of soccer safely and should be knowledgeable about their ability or lack thereof.
  • All goals, corner flags and players benches are to remain on their designated field and should not be moved for any reason. Failure to comply could result in suspension of playing and/or rental privileges.
  • Any temporary lining of fields with paint must be approved by the soccer park manager and completed by complex staff.
  • Use of outside goals, other than goals provided by the soccer complex, is prohibited.
  • Proper soccer attire must be worn at all times. Bathing attire, tube tops, halter tops, short shorts, open-toed sandals and dress of similar nature is inappropriate.
  • No smoking, tobacco product or alcohol will be allowed anywhere on the premise.
  • Players not conducting themselves in an orderly and sportsmanlike manner or not in compliance with the soccer complex rules and regulations may be evicted from the premises by the soccer park manager, supervisor or other complex employees.
  • The fields will be occasionally closed for maintenance and as weather dictates.
  • No pets.
  • Roller blades or skateboards are not allowed along soccer complex common areas but may be used at the skate park.
