Overview Summer 2019

“Overview” is the city’s quarterly newsletter for residents. It includes news, things to see and do in Overland Park, valuable information for neighborhoods, recreational and environmental news.

The Overview Summer 2019 is coming soon. It includes information on

  • An update to OPCares, the city’s online customer service tool
  • the Star-Spangled Spectacular, Overland Park’s July 4 celebration
  • National soccer championships returning to the Scheels Overland Park Soccer Complex
  • Vaccinating your pet against dangerous diseases
  • New stealth technology used to monitor traffic data and speeding
  • New playground equipment coming to several city parks
  • How to help stencil storm inlets in your neighborhood to keep our waterways clean, and more.

The summer Overview also includes a list of summer events in Overland Park, including

  • Touch-A-Truck, where kids of all ages can get behind the wheel of their favorite big truck
  • T.A.K.E. Defense class
  • Sports leagues at Roe Park and the community centers
  • Free children’s entertainment at the community centers
  • Goat Yoga, Safety Day and Free Admission Weekend at Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead
  • Music at the Pools and Music in the Park, moving to Indian Creek Recreation Center this summer
  • And more.
