After establishing its new brand this week, the City of Overland Park invites the community to help design the next City flag.
The new brand features modern, bold and optimistic elements, including a wordmark, graphic devices and color palettes designed to foster pride in the Overland Park community.
The City encourages residents, visitors, business owners, employees, students and others in the community to submit proposed designs.
The City’s brand guide is available to download. Participants should feel free to use it and the brand elements, including color, graphic devices and more when designing flag submissions. City flags will be 3’x5’, 4’x6’ and 5’x8’, based on needs
June 2 Update
The City accepted design submissions through June 1.
What Happens Next
In early June, staff will consider all submitted designs and use elements from one or a combination of submitted designs to inform the final flag design.
The final, approved flag will be flown daily at City facilities and may be available for purchase.
