City connects residents with volunteer resources for storm cleanup

July 28 Update

The preliminary phase of the City’s official storm debris operations has concluded. Volunteers may still be available to coordinate assistance on a limited basis. Thank you for your patience as assistance is scheduled based on resident need and volunteer availability.

July 26 Update

The City has been working with local organizations and community volunteer groups to facilitate assistance for residents in need following the July 14 severe weather in our area.

As of Wednesday, July 26, the City and its community volunteer partners have or are in the process of responding to all of the 140 requests received so far for tree debris removal assistance.

If you are unable to clear debris from the July 14 storm from your yard, please complete the form below before the end of the day Friday, July 28. Volunteers will suspend the majority of their operations after the weekend.

The City is working with local organizations and community volunteer groups to facilitate assistance for residents in need following severe weather in our area. If you are unable to clear debris from the July 14 storm from your yard, please complete the form below.

Community volunteer groups may prioritize responses based on level of need. The City will forward requests to volunteer groups on the following business day for assistance with:

  • Cutting damaged limbs
  • Collecting downed limbs/debris from yard
  • Moving debris to the curb for pick-up by private trash hauler

While the City and community volunteer groups will make every effort to accommodate all requests, we cannot guarantee that all cleanup requests will be fulfilled.

Street tree debris

The City does not maintain trees on private property. The City maintains trees that are in the public right-of-way and will remove storm debris from these trees. Street trees are typically in the area about 11 feet back from the curb. If a tree in the right-of-way adjacent to your home was affected by Friday’s severe weather, file an OPCares request to let us know.
