Portions of I-435 at U.S. 69 will close nightly April 28-29 for bridge work as part of the 69 Express project. Detours will be marked.
Closures:
- Westbound I-435 fully closed at U.S. 69 from 5 p.m. April 28 to 6 a.m. April 29
- Westbound I-435 to southbound U.S. 69 ramp closed from 5 p.m. April 28 to 6 a.m. April 29
- Northbound U.S. 69 to westbound I-435 ramp closed from 5 p.m. April 28 to 6 a.m. April 29
- Eastbound I-435 to northbound U.S. 69 ramp closed from 7 p.m. April 29 to 6 a.m. April 30
The Kansas Department of Transportation’s project will build a new express toll lane in each direction adjacent to the existing general-purpose lanes to increase safety and improve congestion in the area. The express lanes will open to traffic by the end of 2025. Additional work is also taking place at U.S. 69 and the 167th Street interchange as part of the project.
