The 69 Express project team will share updates and construction plans for the U.S. 69 improvement project at an open house on Thursday, Feb. 22 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Tomahawk Ridge Community Center, located at 11902 Lowell Avenue.
During the open house, the 69 Express project team will answer questions and share tolling information along with the new roadway configuration at Blue Valley Parkway. Displays will illustrate roadway and interchange designs, upcoming construction plans, noise wall locations and toll lane operation.
The Kansas Department of Transportation’s project will build a new express toll lane in each direction adjacent to the existing general-purpose lanes to increase safety and improve congestion in the area. The express lanes will open to traffic by the end of 2025. Additional work is also taking place at U.S. 69 and the 167th Street interchange as part of the project.
