All southbound lanes on U.S. 69 between 119th Street and Blue Valley Parkway along with the 119th to southbound U.S. 69 entrance ramp will close to traffic on Friday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. to allow bridge girder setting for the new Blue Valley Parkway to southbound U.S. 69 flyover entrance ramp. Detours will be marked. Lanes will reopen at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10.
The Kansas Department of Transportation’s project will build a new express toll lane in each direction adjacent to the existing general-purpose lanes to increase safety and improve congestion in the area. The express lanes will open to traffic by the end of 2025. Additional work is also taking place at U.S. 69 and the 167th Street interchange as part of the project.
