Snow Operations in Effect

City snow crews continue to plow all streets in Overland Park.

We ask that residents wait for crews to complete all routes before filing requests for snow removal through OPCares. If your street has not been plowed yet, please know that we are still working to plow all City streets.

Please make sure to move vehicles off residential streets if you can! This will help crews remove more snow to the curb and get to all neighborhoods more quickly.

69 Express: Portion of southbound U.S. 69 to close overnight April 9-12

Southbound lanes on U.S. 69 from 119th Street to Blue Valley Parkway will close to traffic nightly between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. from Tuesday, April 9-Friday, April 12 for bridge work as part of the 69 Express project. Detours will be marked.

The Kansas Department of Transportation’s project will build a new express toll lane in each direction adjacent to the existing general-purpose lanes to increase safety and improve congestion in the area. The express lanes will open to traffic by the end of 2025. Additional work is also taking place at U.S. 69 and the 167th Street interchange as part of the project.
