Southbound lanes on U.S. 69 at Blue Valley Parkway will close to traffic overnight on Friday, Feb. 23 and Saturday, Feb. 24 between 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. for bridge work on the 69 Express project.
All lanes of 143rd Street under U.S. 69 will also close Feb. 26-March 2 between 7 p.m.-6 a.m. for bridge construction. Detours will be marked.
The Kansas Department of Transportation’s project will build a new express toll lane in each direction adjacent to the existing general-purpose lanes to increase safety and improve congestion in the area. The express lanes will open to traffic by the end of 2025. Additional work is also taking place at U.S. 69 and the 167th Street interchange as part of the project.
