Description
Disposing of old decking, fencing, lumber, railroad ties and other construction and demolition debris can be difficult. We can take some of those items off your hands. Overland Park residents will have an opportunity to drop off one pickup truckload of these materials at no charge this fall. Visit the Dennis Garrett Public Works facility at 11300 W. 91st St. between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the Saturday shown below for your area to drop off these items.
  • 95th Street to north City limits – Sept. 17
  • 95th Street to College Blvd. – Sept. 24
  • College Blvd. to 135th Street – Oct. 15
  • 135th Street to south City limits – Oct.  29
What’s Accepted In addition to the construction and demolition debris listed above, recyclable metals will also be accepted at these events, including appliances, barbeque grills, and more. Tires will also be accepted. Yard debris, tree limbs, brush, furniture and other bulky items will not be accepted. Plan for Your Visit Bring proof of residency, such as a drivers license or utility bill. Please plan to unload your vehicle yourself. Volunteers will be on site to check residents in, but will not be available to help unload vehicles.ƒ
