Stream Clean

Celebrate Earth Day by volunteering to remove trash and debris from our parks and waterways, restoring the natural beauty of Overland Park.

A substantial amount of trash and debris ends up in our streams. Volunteers will pick up the debris, bag it and pile the bags so that our Parks and Recreation crews can pick up and properly dispose of the collected trash.

We are looking for groups such as scouts, neighborhoods and outdoor clubs, as well as individuals, to donate time to help keep Overland Park beautiful.

If you or your group would like to donate two or more hours, please sign up for a 2024 stream clean event beginning in January. A water quality specialist will provide supplies and a cleanup location.
