Street Sweeping

Overland Park’s street sweepers clean more than two thousand lane miles of streets and the same number of cul-de-sacs each year between March and December.

Program Status

How often a street is swept depends on traffic levels:

• Main roads are cleaned every six to eight weeks.
• Neighborhood streets are cleaned twice each year.
• The sweepers also clean streets before road work.
