Tours + Visits
Overland Park firefighters welcome the opportunity to share the profession with others. To schedule a fire station tour, block party visit or fire safety presentation, please submit a request through OPCares or call 913-895-8400.
We no longer offer truck visits. If you are interested in seeing a fire truck, please schedule a station tour or visit a City-sponsored event.

Fire Station Tours
Group tours are available at all eight fire stations, by appointment, at the following times:
- First and fourth Wednesday of the month, 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
- Second and fourth Sunday of the month, 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Staff members will plan age-appropriate fire safety education activities.
Children will also learn about life at a fire station and see the fire truck and its equipment. Groups are limited to 30 visitors and children must be four years of age or older.
Small groups of guests (one to three people) are welcome at all eight fire stations at any time.
Block Parties
Planning a summer block party?
Block party visits are available during June and July. Be sure to apply for a block party permit—it’s required for a fire truck to stop by.
Keep in mind, visits are first-come, first-served. Submitting a request does not guarantee a fire truck at your block party.
