Both directions of 167th Street will fully close to traffic between Metcalf Avenue and Antioch Road from 9 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6, through 6 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 10. All ramps at 167th Street and U.S. 69 will remain closed.
135th Street under U.S. 69 will also fully close to traffic from 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, through 6 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, to allow for asphalt work as part of the 69Express project.
All ramps at the interchange will close Friday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m., except for the westbound 135th Street ramp to northbound U.S. 69. At 6 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, all ramps will reopen to right turns only.
The Kansas Department of Transportation’s project will construct a new express toll lane in each direction, adjacent to the existing general-purpose lanes, to enhance safety and alleviate congestion in the area.
