As part of the 69Express project, ramps along U.S. 69 will close overnight beginning Friday, September 12 to allow crews to complete paving operations.
The College Boulevard to northbound U.S. 69 and the westbound College Boulevard to eastbound I-435 on-ramps will close from 7 p.m. on September 12 through 10 a.m. on September 13. The College Boulevard to eastbound I-435 on-ramp will close from 6 a.m. on September 13 through 10 a.m. on September 14 for pavement marking.
The following ramps will close at 5 p.m. on September 14 and reopen at 6 a.m. on September 15:
- I-435 to southbound U.S. 69
- Eastbound 135th Street to northbound U.S. 69
- 135th to southbound U.S. 69
The 135th to southbound U.S. 69 and the southbound U.S. 69 to 135th Street ramps will fully close to traffic from 7 p.m. on September 15 to 6 a.m. on September 16 for paving operations.
The Kansas Department of Transportation’s project will construct a new express toll lane in each direction, adjacent to the existing general-purpose lanes, to enhance safety and alleviate congestion in the area.
