Share your feedback on how to improve trail navigation and access for the Indian Creek and Tomahawk Creek trails!
The City will host two interactive pop-up engagement meetings in September on the trails:
- Friday, Sept. 19 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Corporate Woods leg of the Indian Creek Trail, near 9300 Indian Creek Pkwy.
- Sunday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Tomahawk Trail connection to Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead, 13800 Switzer Rd.
Participants will be asked simple survey questions and have an opportunity to react to draft trail signage concepts. An interactive survey is available on the City’s website for those who cannot attend the meetings.
“These on-trail pop-ups are a great way for people who use the trails to respond to initial signage concepts and share how they use the Indian Creek and Tomahawk Creek trails,” said Brett Maasen, manager of parks and forestry for the City of Overland Park. “This is crucial on-trail input that will help make this wayfinding master plan a success for residents and visitors who walk or bike the trails.”
The goal of the Overland Park Wayfinding Master Plan is to make navigation and access easier, promote awareness of community destinations, support all user types (walkers and rollers, cyclists, tourists, and residents), and reinforce the identity and aesthetics of the trail corridor.
