Description
Join us on August 30th from 4-8 p.m. for sunset quick paint in our beautifully maintained gardens. There are limitless options to recreate the flowers and landscapes of the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. Choose to take the adventurous route and capture the prairie or woodland trails. Following the timed painting, join us in the LongHouse Visitor Center for a small reception and judging. Then have the unique opportunity to hang your work for the public to view until October 31. Artwork needs to be ready to hang in our LongHouse gallery. Get your canvases stamped in the LongHouse Visitor Center between 3:30-4 p.m. on August 30. Open to the public and all levels. $35 registration fee. Pre-registration is preferred. Traditional mediums only. Two "best in show" winners chosen by a judge, awarding a $300 prize to each winner. Paintings will be displayed in our LongHouse Community Gallery as space allows from August 30-October 31. We reserve the right to omit entries from this exhibit for any reason. Artists must be 18 years and older.Schedule of events:
