Victim Support Services
The Overland Park Police Department’s victim specialists advocate for crime victims and their families by providing them with important information and direct services.
Victim specialists can provide assistance through the following services:
- Informing victims of their rights.
- Assisting with the victim compensation process.
- Connecting victims with community resources.
- Assisting during court hearings and investigative interviews.
- Serving as a liaison for victims.
- Providing temporary crisis intervention as needed.
