Reservations/Refunds

To reserve a room, contact Leisure Services, 913-895-6390. Two weeks' notice for any room rental is preferred.

Complete and return to Leisure Services the room rental agreement:

  • Group Rental
  • Single Rental

Deposit

A security deposit is required for any rental:

  • $100 for a standard classroom;
  • $200 for a multipurpose room.

The credit card on file will not be charged unless there are damages to the room(s) or its contents. If, after an activity, additional janitorial maintenance is required (other than the normal cleaning process), the room deposit will not be fully returned and other fees will be assessed, if needed.

Payment

  • If the reservation is made less than three months in advance and the room rental is less than $1,000, the person reserving the room is required to pay the full amount at the time of the reservation.
  • If the reservation is made more than three months in advance and the room rental is more than $1,000, the person reserving the room has two options:
    • Full-Payment: At the time of reservation, full payment will be made.
    • Partial Payment: At the time of reservation, a 50 percent payment can be made in addition to a $25 handling fee. The final payment will be due three months prior to the event. In the event that the full payment is NOT made on time, MRCC staff has the right to cancel the event.

Refunds

Cancellations must be submitted, in writing, at least two weeks in advance of the rental date to be considered for a refund (see also reservations under Rules and Regulations).
