Bus Service

Overland Park residents and businesses are able to enjoy the benefits of new RideKC transit service offered by Johnson County. Residents can easily reach Oak Park Mall, Johnson County Community College, Prairiefire, Corbin Park and the University of Kansas-Edwards campus. Regional connections to the Country Club Plaza and the new downtown Kansas City streetcar are also available.

575-75th Street/Qoakparkuivira

What’s new: Twice as many daily trips -- buses run every 30 minutes at rush hour and every 60 minutes at mid-day.

Route: Between University of Kansas-Edwards Campus in Overland Park and 75th & Troost in Kansas City, Mo.

Major destinations: University of Kansas-Edwards Campus, Johnson County Community College, Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Oak Park Mall, Shawnee Mission Medical Center and Waldo neighborhood in Kansas City, Mo.

Time of service: 5 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. weekdays

556-Metcalf Plaza

What’s new: Route runs west from Metcalf Avenue along 119th Street to Johnson CoPrairiefire at Lionsgate opening weekend. Saturday, May 10, 2014.unty Community College. Service will run eastward along 135th Street to Prairiefire shopping center. Trips will alternate between the community college and Prairiefire. Route will no longer serve park-and-ride lot at 137th Steet & Antioch Road.

Route: Between 51st and Troost at University of Missouri-Kansas City campus and Johnson County Community College or Prairiefire. Service alternates trips between Prairiefire and the community college.

Major destinations: Prairiefire, Corbin Park, Saint Luke’s South Hospital, Johnson County Community College, Sprint, Rosana Square, Downtown Overland Park, Downtown Mission, Country Club Plaza and the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Time of service: Service between JCCC/Prairiefire and UMKC runs from about 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from about 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Mid-day service stops at Rosana Square.

75-75th Street

What’s new: A fourth trip in each direction will be added during the morning and afternoon rush hours. Route will be moved off 95th Street and Metcalf Avenue to save time. It will now follow State Line Road to Interstate 435, where service will continue west into Overland Park, traveling along Nall to 115th Street and the north side of the Sprint campus.

Route: Between Rosana Square in Overland Park and Bannister Road & Drury Avenue in Kansas City, Mo.

Major destinations: Saint Luke’s South Hospital, Sprint, Park Place, Black & Veatch, Quintiles, Town Center Plaza Rosana Square and Ward Parkway Center.

Time of service: 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Trips to Overland Park are between 5:30 a.m. and 8:40 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays only

495-95th Street (New)

What’s new: The entire route running on 95th Street through Overland Park and Leawood.

Route: Between Oak Park Mall and 74th Terrace & Broadway in the Waldo neighborhood of Kansas City, Mo. In 2017, route will be extended west to Lenexa.

Major destinations: Oak Park Mall, Ward Parkway Mall and Waldo. And coming in 2017, Lenexa City Center and Lexmark International.

Time of service: About 5:45 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and from about 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays.
