To prevent the spread of coronavirus in our community, Johnson County Government has ordered residents to stay at home except for essential needs, beginning Tuesday, March 24 for 30 days.
Overland Park is considering possible options for improvement and expansion of the Farmers’ Market.
After public and vendor input meetings and a presentation to the Community Development Committee in 2017, a consultant presented recommendations to the City Council on February 5, 2018.
No action was taken at February’s meeting. Council Members directed staff to continue researching options for the market. Currently there is no money budgeted to complete any of the four proposals included in the presentation.
The city clearly understands the market is a tremendous success. Any action taken would be to ensure its continued viability.
