The Overland Park Farmers’ Market returns April 19

Fresh produce, meats, cheeses and local specialties return to Downtown Overland Park on Saturday, April 19, as the Overland Park Farmers’ Market opens for the season. This year, the market will operate out of the Matt Ross Community Center parking lot to allow room for the Farmers’ Market and Downtown Gathering Space Improvement Project, Clock Tower Landing.

As you get ready to enjoy your Saturday mornings supporting your favorite local vendors, keep these three tips in mind to make the most of your visit:

1. Plan for Parking

The first step to a smooth market experience is knowing where to park. Free parking is available throughout Downtown Overland Park, including on-street spaces and nearby public lots. Once you park, walk, bike, ride or roll over to the temporary market location outside Matt Ross Community Center to start your shopping. Check out these free parking options in Downtown Overland Park.

2. Pick Your Produce and Products

Whether you’re planning meals for the week or just browsing, the Overland Park Farmers’ Market offers a wide variety of local goods. Beyond produce, you’ll find unique offerings like honey, skincare, baked goods and handmade items. A full list of 2025 vendors is available at opkansas.org/FarmersMarket.

3. Know Your Payment Options

All vendors accept cash and Farmers’ Market tokens, which can be purchased at the market information booth. Tokens are available in $5 increments, with no fee when using a debit card, and they’re accepted any day the market is open. Many vendors also accept credit and debit cards.
