Plan around these City closures during the holiday season

The holidays are approaching, and that means spending quality time with family and friends. With Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s coming up, many City facilities will experience closures or changes in hours in observance of these holidays.

As you plan your festivities, plan around these closures to City Hall, 8500 Santa Fe Drive, and other City offices; Matt Ross Community Center, 8101 Marty; Tomahawk Ridge Community Center, 11902 Lowell; and the recycling center, 11921 Hardy.

Thanksgiving Closures

  • City Offices: City Hall and other City offices are closed on Thursday, Nov. 25 and Friday, Nov. 26 for Thanksgiving. They will reopen on Monday, Nov. 29.
  • Community Centers: Matt Ross Community Center and Tomahawk Ridge Community Center are closed on Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 25. They are open from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26 as usual.
  • Recycling Center: The recycling center is open on Tuesday, Nov. 23 and Wednesday, Nov. 24 but closed on Thursday, Nov. 25; Friday, Nov. 26; and Saturday, Nov. 27.

Christmas Closures

  • City Offices: City Hall and other City offices are closed on Christmas Eve, Friday, Dec. 24.
  • Community Centers: Matt Ross Community Center and Tomahawk Ridge Community Center are open on Christmas Eve, Friday, Dec. 24 from 5:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. They are closed on Christmas Day, Saturday, Dec. 25.
  • Recycling Center: The recycling center is closed on Christmas Eve, Friday, Dec. 24 and Christmas Day, Saturday, Dec. 25.

New Year’s Closures

  • City Offices: City Hall and other City offices are closed on New Year’s Eve, Friday, Dec. 31.
  • Community Centers: Matt Ross Community Center and Tomahawk Ridge Community Center are open on New Year’s Eve, Friday, Dec. 31. They are open on New Year’s Day, Saturday, Jan. 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Recycling Center: The recycling center will be closed on New Year’s Eve, Friday, Dec. 31 and New Year’s Day, Saturday, Jan. 1.
