To keep our neighborhoods, residents and pets safe and healthy, Overland Park requires all cat and dog owners to register their animals for pet licenses.
All dogs and cats in Overland Park must be licensed by the time they are six months old or within 30 days of moving to the area. By registering, pet owners receive a permanent, renewable tag. These licenses are valid from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31.
As the June 30 registration and renewal deadline for Overland Park’s furry friends nears, learn more about how you can license your pets:

Pet licensing is essential to keep Overland Park safe and healthy, ensuring all cats and dogs are vaccinated for rabies to protect public health. Pet licensing also helps Overland Park’s animal control operations return stray animals to their owners.
