Community centers to expand hours of service

Beginning October 1, Matt Ross Community Center and Tomahawk Ridge Community Center will expand their hours of operation.

Both community centers reopened with limited hours after coronavirus stay-at-home orders lifted in June.

Matt Ross Community Center was closed Wednesday and Saturday mornings, and Tomahawk Ridge Community Center was closed Thursday and Sunday mornings to allow staff time to adjust operations during the pandemic.

Now, both buildings will be open 5:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. on weekdays, and 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Sundays.

On Saturdays, Tomahawk Ridge Community Center will be open 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Matt Ross Community Center will be open 1 – 8 p.m.

Staff will continue to clean community centers frequently. Some areas of the community centers will not be open in order to minimize gatherings. Members and guests must wear masks or face coverings while entering, walking around and exiting the facilities.
