Bucket List Challenge: How many Parks and Rec adventures can you check off?

A man holds a piece of paper titled "Overland Park Parks and Recreation July 2025 Bucket List" and lists 31 list items.

It’s time to get outside, get moving and make some memories! July is National Park and Recreation Month, and Overland Park is the place to be.

We’re bringing the energy all month long with a jam-packed calendar full of fun. From tranquil trail walks and colorful public art to high-energy events and free Fitness in the Park classes, there’s something for everyone to love. However you like to play, Parks and Recreation has your July covered.

“Our team works hard all year to make Overland Park a fun, active and welcoming place to get outside and connect,” said Bryan Toben, Director of Parks and Recreation. “National Park and Recreation Month is our chance to show it all off with trails, recreation areas, pools, events and fitness opportunities. We hope everyone will get out there and enjoy all that Overland Park has to offer. There’s something fun happening all month long!”
