Eastbound and westbound lanes of 167th Street at U.S. 69 will fully close to traffic beginning Friday, March 7 for bridge demolition. Ramps will remain open to right-turn movements, and detours will be marked. Lanes are scheduled to reopen by 10 p.m. on March 9.
Traffic on U.S. 69 in this area will be limited to a single lane in each direction before and after the bridge demolition, as crews prepare for the full closure of 167th Street and its ramps to U.S. 69 in early April. For details on the 167th Street closure, visit the project website at 69Express.org/167th-street-closure.
The Kansas Department of Transportation’s project will build a new express toll lane in each direction adjacent to the existing general-purpose lanes to increase safety and improve congestion in the area. Additional work is also taking place at U.S. 69 and the 167th Street interchange as part of the project.
