Both directions of I-435 between Quivira and Antioch Road will close to traffic at 7 p.m. Friday, May 9, for bridge demolition. The westbound I-435 ramp to southbound U.S. 69 will also be fully closed. Detours will be marked, and the ramp and all lanes of I-435 will reopen by 6 a.m. Monday, May 12.
The Kansas Department of Transportation’s project will build a new express toll lane in each direction adjacent to the existing general-purpose lanes to increase safety and improve congestion in the area.
