69Express: Four U.S. 69 ramps to close May 8

Beginning May 7 at 8 p.m., ramps from eastbound I-435 to northbound U.S. 69, northbound U.S. 69 to westbound I-435, northbound U.S. 69 to 103rd Street and westbound College Blvd. to eastbound I-435 will fully close to traffic for roadway and ramp reconstruction and bridge rehabilitation. 

Drivers can access northbound U.S. 69 from College Boulevard using the newly constructed ramp, which is set to open shortly before the existing ramps close.

Closure periods:

  • Eastbound I-435 ramp to northbound U.S. 69 – up to 169 days
  • Northbound U.S. 69 ramp to westbound I-435 – up to 169 days
  • Northbound U.S. 69 ramp to 103rd Street – up to 169 days
  • Westbound College Blvd. ramp to eastbound I-435 – up to 62 days

The Kansas Department of Transportation’s project will build a new express toll lane in each direction adjacent to the existing general-purpose lanes to increase safety and improve congestion in the area.
