OPPD has prizes and scholarships for drug-free teens

February 6, 2018

Overland Park teens can win prizes and scholarships by engaging with Overland Park Police Department's JOCO STOP contest online.

The JOCO STOP program educates youths about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.

Officers will be sharing anti-drug and alcohol abuse awareness facts and stories on the JOCO STOP TwitterInstagram, and Snapchat pages during the months of March and April.

Students can win prizes by answering questions on social media each week. Students who answer correctly will be entered into weekly drawings for prizes.

Prizes include gift cards for restaurants such as Sonic, Starbucks and Chipotle. Grand prizes include a PlayStation 4 and an Apple iPad Mini.

In addition, high school seniors who apply online and follow the JOCO STOP accounts could be selected as finalists to win one of three $1000 scholarships.
