Downtown Development to Affect Traffic Patterns

March 6, 2017

The Vue site - 80th and Marty Downtown OPConstruction on development and redevelopment projects will affect traffic patterns in Downtown Overland Park beginning Monday, March 6.

Crews are beginning major work on The Vue, a six-story mixed use project to be built at the former site of the Main Appliance building, on 80th Street between Marty and Floyd Streets.

In order to provide for the safest working, pedestrian and driving conditions, the traffic control plan for streets surrounding this project includes the following changes:

  • Floyd St. will become a one-way street northbound from Hamilton Dr. to 80th St.
  • Marty St. will become a one-way street southbound from 80th St. to 81st St.
  • Lanes widths will be reduced, but 80th St. will remain open to both east and westbound traffic.

Developer Hunt Midwest expects The Vue construction to be complete in December of 2018.

Visit the CIty's interactive road closure map to see all current lane reductions and closures.
