Designed for beginners and seasoned artists alike, this series focuses on cultivating the essential habit of maintaining a visual journal through sketchbook keeping. Build your skills by attending each session, or select fewer sessions as your schedule allows. Throughout the course, participants will delve into the fundamentals of sketch bookkeeping, learning techniques to capture ideas, observations, and emotions through drawing, painting, and mixed media. Guided by experienced instructor Jill Tichenor, students will explore various themes, styles, and approaches, empowering them to infuse their unique perspectives into their sketchbooks. We will meet outdoors and indoors. Please bring graphite and colored pencils, a gum eraser, sketchbook, stool or chair for outdoors, sunscreen, water bottle and a hat.
