Overland Park Fire Department staff members offer training for businesses or organizations whose employees want to learn more about fire safety. Participants will learn:
- Elements that make up a fire;
- How to classify fires;
- Which fire extinguisher to use;
- How to operate fire extinguishers.
This class can be held at the Fire Training Center or on-site at your organization. Host organizations must provide a computer and video projector and a classroom large enough to accommodate all students seated at tables for the classroom training, and an open area with level surface and nearby water supply for the practical training.
Class size is a minimum of 10 and maximum of 15 students. The class takes 60 minutes and the cost is $170. Additional fees will apply if more instructors are needed. Contact Public Education Specialist Tricia Roberts at 913-895-8403 to schedule a training session.
