  • Cash (accepted by all vendors)
  • Credit and debit cards
  • Debit card tokens
  • EBT/SNAP Program
  • Senior Vouchers Program (SFMNP)

Debit Card Tokens

You may swipe debit cards at the market information booth for green OP Farmers Market tokens, which are worth $5. There is no transaction fee and tokens may be used on any market day. Tokens may not be exchanged for currency.

Credit and Debit Cards

Some vendors accept credit and debit cards.

SNAP

Overland Park Farmers' Market accepts the state issued Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) Cards from Kansas, Missouri and all other federally approved states.

Double Up Food Bucks Kansas City helps low-income families eat more locally-grown fruits and vegetables by doubling food assistance dollars spent at the Farmers Market. For every SNAP or Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) dollar spent, customers earns an extra dollar to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables. Here's how it works:

  1. Bring your EBT card to market information booth and know your pin number.
  2. Buy any SNAP-eligible foods with your EBT card dollars.
  3. Double Up Heartland matches up to $25, which can be used right away or later to buy locally grown fruits and vegetables.

Double Up Food Bucks Kansas City blue tokens may not be used to purchase soaps, body oils, foods prepared on-site and items labeled "warehouse." They may not be exchanged for currency. Tokens are subject to availability.

Senior Vouchers Program

The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program provides qualified low-income senior citizens with coupons for eligible produce. Here's how it works:

  1. Senior Voucher Program - SFMNPApply for SFMNP at the The Salvation Army of Kansas & Western Missouri.
  2. Bring your voucher to the farmers market and have it stamped at the market information booth on Saturdays.
  3. Vouchers are equivalent to $5 cash and are distributed in books of six worth $30.

Double Up Food Bucks Kansas City also offers a dollar for dollar match on SFMNP vouchers.

SNFMP coupons are only to be used on fresh, uncut and unprocessed fruits and vegetables. They may not be used to purchase meat, dairy, plants, flowers, soaps, body oils, foods prepared on-site and items labeled "warehouse." They may not be exchanged for currency.
