Roe Pool, which is more than 40 years old, will permanently close after Aug. 9, 2015. After this summer’s pool season, crews will dismantle the pool structure and replace it with new park amenities. Join us on Saturday, Aug. 1 for a community "bon voyage celebration" from 4 to 7 p.m., where we will say goodbye to the oldest Overland Park city pool with a photo booth, DJ and more.
Set among trees in a pleasant park atmosphere, Roe has water depths ranging from 3-feet-6-inches to 12 feet.
It also has a:
- One meter diving board; and
- Youth pool.
The facility also has lots of shade for laying out or relaxing.
