Overland Park, KS – What will it take to get you to bike or walk more? That’s the question planners are asking.
Planners from the cities of Mission and Overland Park, and the Mid-America Regional Council want to know what it will take to get you to walk or ride a bike into the downtown areas adjacent to the Shawnee Mission Parkway and Metcalf corridors.
“We want to hear from residents, business owners and others on their concerns and ideas to further promote bicycle and pedestrian access,” said Doug Johnson, manager of GIS and support services.
There is a public meeting from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, at the Sylvester Powell Community Center, 6200 Martway, Conference Room C. to learn more and be part of the conversation. The project team will present various design alternatives.
