Volunteers are an intrical part of the Detective Division, giving administrative support to the detectives in the Criminal Investigations Section and assisting in producing serveral weekly crime bulletins and crime mapping applications in the Crime Analysis Unit.
Hours:
Volunteers are asked to work a minimum of one four-hour block of time per week, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Hours can vary to suit the needs of the volunteer and the division.
Qualifications:
- Must pass background and polygraph tests.
- Must be familiar with personal computers and basic computer software, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Must be able to read and transmit detailed information accurately.
- Must have knowledge of basic office equipment - fax, copier, adding machine, etc.
