Enjoy finger sandwiches, crudites, fruit and dessert while sipping tea and watching a shortened version of "The Nutcracker Ballet" at a special tea party Sunday, Dec. 7.

The kid-friendly menu and world-renowned ballet is sure to delight the young and the old, and bring a new tradition to Overland Park.

The Nutcracker Tea Party, featuring the Legacy School of the Arts and the Overland Park Orchestra will be held from noon to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Ritz Charles, 9000 W. 137th St.

Doors open 30 minutes prior to each show.

Available keepsakes include a professional picture of your child or grandchild with a dancer and a keepsake boutique.

Tickets are $35 for adults and $20 for children. Members of the Friends of the Overland Park Arts can purchase tickets for $30 and $15, respectively.

All proceeds go toward aquiring public art for the city and other Friends of the OP Arts programs and projects.
